Abstract:

Due to the impact of spatial and temporal changes in the hydrological conditions of the watershed and the hydraulics of the river, modeling flow and sediment transport is particularly complex. In this study, the sedimentation and erosion conditions in the Kabootar Khan River, located in the Rafsanjan region of Kerman Province, were evaluated using the RAS-HEC software, which has the capability to model water flow and sediment in movable beds. The SIAM numerical model was employed to assess the sediment conditions in this river, and the results indicated erosion along the entire length of the river. Furthermore, this erosion reached maximum levels at certain points.
