Abstract:
In this research, the boundary determination of the Gabric River in Hormozgan Province and the preparation of flood zoning maps were conducted using a combination of ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and the auxiliary program HEC-GeoRAS. One of the effective tools in river engineering studies is the use of remote sensing technology. Nowadays, the use of satellite images is highly applicable for reducing time and costs to obtain results. In this context, considering the temporal alignment of the Landsat satellite passage over the study areas, and after applying the necessary corrections to the images, data from all bands of Landsat 5 were extracted. The comparison and validation of the satellite images show a significant correlation between the results of the implemented models and the satellite images.
